Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great value - Needs a little work. I wish I could update my Dashcam using my desktop PC. For some reason the connection between the Dashcam and the Iphone doesn't allow firmware to be updated successfully.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Life span was disappointing The Garming Dash Cam Tandem worked very well until two months after the warranty expired. The front facing camera stopped operating.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great features nominal wifi connectivity. I purchased this several months ago. Initially I was able to view through it's individual wifi. It now disconnects almost immediately after the connection is established. My AT-4 also has wifi. Maybe Bluetooth connection would be better if video is supported. There have been no updates on the firmware or software. I have failed to contact support. I am reluctant to find another company with poor customer service.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Compact and easy to use Dash cam is very small, so doesn't interfere with your view. The app is very easy to use as well, and so far has worked perfectly. Nice to be able to view an event directly on your phone via Bluetooth, without having to remove the memory card or have wifi. Do not miss not having a screen, really, since the app does that. Lenses give good all around view.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Wide view coverage inside and out I've had the Garmin Tandem dash cam for about a month. After a disconcerting event where it seemed there was a deliberate attempt by a semi truck to run me off the road, I decided I needed a dash cam. I think that to document any incidents well a wide view is needed, both looking ahead through the windshield and through the side windows, hence my choice of the Garmin Tandem cam. Looking forward, the 180 degree view is able to catch all activity looking forward and off to the front sides. So, it is able to catch all activity as it develops, not just what occurs directly in front. The rear-facing camera which looks into the cabin also provides very good views out the driver side and passenger side windows, so an incident coming from the side is also well recorded. Even though the rear-facing camera is 720 p, I find the resolution to be very good for that purpose. The Garmin Tandem camera provides excellent coverage from the front and to the sides. The wide-angle view means that some fine detail is lost. Reading license plate numbers is difficult unless the vehicle is very close, for instance. For that, a narrower view and higher resolution camera would be needed. I like the compact size of the cam. I have mine mounted in the center of the windshield for the best views front and back, and I used a Garmin suction mount to try different locations for a while until I found the best spot. Voice control works well and is reliable. The Garmin Drive app works well but can be a bit glitchy at times, but it works reliably enough. Downloading videos to my phone is a very slow process, so if I had to show a video to police on site, it would not be quick or easy, and I do not always have my phone with me. That is one of the issues with a cam that doesn't have a display. I would also like to see Garmin provide a desktop app that could easily read the memory card and create a video. Once I had my location, I used the adhesive mount. I really like that the cam is magnetically attached to the adhesive-held base, making it easy to remove the cam at will. Views through the back window from the interior cam isn't very good due to the wide-angle view, but it is not intended for that. I mounted a Garmin Mini 2 to the back window. I am powering the cam through the Garmin OBD-II connector, which unfortunately does not allow the Tandem to operate in parking mode. I would like to see Garmin change that. Overall, I am happy with the cam. It would be perfect if videos were easier to manage, if it was easier to read license plates, and if parking mode worked with the OBD-II port. I installed a 256 gb memory card to replace the 8 gb memory card provided with the cam.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Voice Commands The voice command function has only worked intermittently since day one. Was told to update the firmware and I did to no avail. As of 3 weeks ago, the voice function has quit working completely. The camera portion works great but I'm very disappointed with the voice command function or lack there of.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Recording Does not have a good recording feature. It does not record the trip continuously. Only records one minute at random.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from I have both the 66W and now this Tandem and... ...I think I like the 66W better. The Tandem does work great, but the only way to control it is by using the Drive app on my iPhone which seems to take forever to make a combined video of the front and rear cameras. Too long to be practical really, they should have an app you can run on your Mac to do that job offline. Not sitting in the car waiting for it to process on my iPhone 12 Pro Max for 5 minutes. I miss the red light camera warnings the 66W has. And I didn't realize it didn't have the Travelapse feature the 66W has. Also, and its not a problem of the Garmin, but the Dashcam software I use on the mac doesn't recognize the file format of the front and rear cameras so I have to manually rename them to get it to work correctly. Total bummer. In summary the Tandem is nice if you have a need for the interior camera, but I'm going to go back to using my 66w as my main camera because I cannot give up the on unit controls and screen and travelapse and red light camera warnings.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Good image but slow AF to view. Don't expect to use the app to view vid form this device. I'ts like 1980's dial-up with a 24kbaud modem. You will need to pull the mem disk and load in a PC. Manually go thru the files. I have not found a PC app to consume and present the vids.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great size...seems to work well. Good for Rideshare drivers to record cabin activities. I have a Tesla so lots of exterior cameras already. Not sure how much value I'll find with the Garmin. NOTE: There's an interior camera on the Tesla as well, but not really made for recording drives. I love the magnetic mount. Very easy to take off and store when not using for rideshare. I haven't had the chance to review many videos, both video recording and sound works fine. I also am pleased with the size of the unit. Very small so not noticeable.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Easy to operate! I could not get it to work properly. I had it plugged into a USB port on my computer. If I had READ THE DIRECTIONS FIRST like it said to do I would have known that it needs the a proper power source and that my computer was not it. It works great now.
