I would prefer to purchase an XL colour cartridge in a multipack along with XL black but HP doesn't appear to offer this although I know it is available through other sources although more expensive than buying direct. Any particular reason why HP doesn't offer this combination??

cartridge reads 1/3 full and printing goes wild - looks like lots of ink left.
B&W photo quality does not work with borderless. B&W does not print when color is low.

Since I purchased my HP printer in 2015 I have not used any other brand of ink other than HP. I have used a lot of ink and have never had a problem with it. I have heard stories by others about the cheaper inks they use along with all their complaints about them. I will stick with the reliable higher quality inks I purchase from HP.

The reason why a bag genuine HP ink is because the cartridges always work. And if for some reason the cartridges just don’t work, you can send them back for an immediate credit The price at HP.com is quite in line with Costco. My first HP tri-color ink cartridge purchase
I purchased two tri-color cartridges on 11/24 and the first one ran out of ink within two weeks of very little use. I even had difficulty using my regular black cartridge alone and had to put the 2nd cartridge in to enable my printer to work without having to go into settings each time I printed a non color paper. The price was better than my usual place I purchase, but it wasn't worth it.

Excellent in all respects, including final color results. I prefer the single color cartridge over the individual color-type cartridges because the print head is built into the cartridge instead of into the printer, thus if the ink clogs or dries out if not used for an extended time, replacing the cartridge is better than replacing the printer!

Box was to big for cartridges. Not enough filler in box and it broke & had to be re taped in route. Cartridges boxes look ok but I will contact HP when I install them if the don't function ok.

I bought the package with color and black cartridges. The minute I put them in my printer I started getting pop ups from YOUR company about using aftermarket cartridges! The color is faded..... Got about 10 full color pages outta the refill :(
I bought the Envy 5540 for my wife so she could print up some homemade labels for her skin care products. Initially the full color labels came out great, immediately ran outta ink, so I run down to Best Buy and buy more, the package states you can get roughly 160 color pages outta the refill -- I got 10. What is this nonsense, please help.... seriously 10 pages for $22. Really disappointed

Make sure your understand what "pages" mean
I assumed, stupidly, it meant 8x10 @ 65 pages. I ordered regular color cartridge. I got 13 pictures out of it on high gloss picture paper, and last pic had streaks running through it.

Product surprised me.
Product arrive, I installed it properly. And started printing about 10 photos. Then I got the message that the printer had run out of ink...I mean really, HP, I am quite disappointed, needless to say. I don't know what you sent me, but it sure wasn't the quality I expected. The original cartridge which came with the printer lasted more than 6 months. This one lasted a day.

Not Original Color HP Cartridge
After printing about twenty pages with the new cartridges (color and black), the color cartridge stopped printing. The printer would start printing blotchy lines and then stop. The printer reported that the color cartridge was not installed correctly. I eventually ran a PRINT MECH test code 41 for the printer and it reported that the color cartridge was not an HP cartridge. I ordered both cartridges from the HP Store at the same time. The expiration date for the color cartridge was 9/01/2020. I assume that the cartridge was a HP refill.

I purchase a good bit of ink from hp. I homeschool my kids and have to print a lot of stuff. This ink is very sufficient to my needs and lasts a good bit for me. I do use more color than black. I usually buy 2 color to 1 black but again. I am printing every day and this usually last me month or more. Plus the shipping is very fast, I usually have it in about 2 days.

I do enjoy the quality of HP ink, and I was able to easily and quickly find my product on their store - my one complaint is that the price of ink tends to be quite high. I certainly appreciated the recent sale on ink (buy one get another half off), and if I would ask for anything, it would be that more deals and sales on ink be offered as an incentive against the price.

They worked well. I am researching if other printer manufactures are as greedy as HP. I could not use the cartridges I had filled at Costco in my HP OJ 5968. If I purchase a car I cant get gas anywhere I choose, not limited to one brand. I have had no trouble using refilled cartridges in the past, new thing you know HP will start manufacturing pharmaceuticals.

I am 80 years old but after looking at the tutorial and I was able to put in the new cartridges.
My computer came with cartridges and this was my first attempt to install. Since there was
special, I bought two of each. It was easy to order and they were shipped quickly.

This ink works great but XL is a better value simply because you don't need to change cartridges as often. I like that it is never messy. I have used cartridges in the past that do leak. That is why I always buy genuine HP cartridges. If there is one downside to the ink, is that it is not colorfast and will smear if it gets wet. I find this occurs less frequently on photo paper than just copy paper.

It's an ink cartridge. When I put my last cartridge in the printer I always buy my next one. I haven't used it yet, but I'm sure it will work as well as all the other ones I've used.

Don't Gamble With Ink
HP ink is designed and tested for HP printers. Lower prices of generic refills may be tempting but why gamble with the lasting results. I use the product for which my printer was designed and get great result. Buying through HP assures freshness and accuracy.

I have bought nothing but HP for over 20 years. Have always been happy until now. The ink seemed to last forever until my next to last order that last less than a month--with my normal amount of printing. VERY unhappy about that. I had to buy another set (black and colored) and so far it has last about 2 weeks. Hope it last as long as they used to. I am not happy but sometimes you can get a bad one. Even though I haven't in over 20 years until now.

defective cartridge
I purchased this 62 tri-color cartridge over a month ago and it will not align in my HP ENVY 5660 printer. The prints come out blurred and offset and my printer displays the "align Cartridge" message. when I install another cartridge it works just fine so I know it is the cartridge not my printer. I have not been able to get in touch with a "real" person at HP to discuss warranty, replacement or any way to resolve this. This may not be a big deal but it did cost $23.99!

The way to go
We've used several other off-brand ink cartridges, and every time we do we regret it. The color is sharper with genuine HP cartridges, and they always work smoothly to the end of the cartridge (which has never been the case with the off-brand cartridges).

Amount of ink in the 62 tricolor is terrible
I bought a new 62 tricolor cartridge for a small (100 page) job with about 20% color coverage (yes, I have measured). Cartridge lasted about 60 pages. Specification is listed at 165 pages. Thought it was defective. Bought a second, as I needed to finish my job. Barely finished printed the remaining 40 and the printer shows the cartridge almost out!
So I belatedly read the fine print. Turns out that HP (and some other companies, presumably) uses the standard of 5% coverage for a “color” page. That is approximately 4.5 square inches. Two inches by 2.25 inches. Pathetic and underhanded.

I bought the #62 B+W and Color Ink Cartridges for a neighbor's printer. The Cartridges cost MORE than the price of the printer. This is robbery and greed. The cartridges did work, but the ones on other sites that say they are original are not or do not last long. Essentially, HP charges WAY too much for simple, inexpensive, ink fluid. It is infuriating.

My 62XL Cartridge died even though it indicated still at about 1/2 capacity. Tried cleaning the cartridge several times but saw little improvement and was just using up ink during the cleaning process. When I went to order, several ink packages were not available. So, I ordered what I could. After that, HP cancelled part of my order with no explanation. Don't know what is going on here, but I can't seem to find 61 or 62 cartridges anywhere in the stores and the online supply is limited. I doubt my next printer will be an HP product.

Purchased for new 250 mobile, all in one printer, copier, scanner. The 250 is great; thanks. The color cartridge came in about 3 weeks which seemed a bit long to me; the cartridge's box was partly crushed, but cartridge looks ok. They were out of Black ink, so looked else where for some. Found some and also found that HP charges 3 times what original HP cartridge costs at another place "A" and "A" delivered in 3 days with no shipping charges. Guess I should have known better - I like HP Products, so wanted to stick with them, didn't know they treated customers like they were shopping at a used car lot without being able to dicker for a reasonable price. :(

Great ink cartridge. I have an HP Envy 5660 printer so I have to buy HP ink cartridge replacements. What other ink jet cartridge would fit in my "Envy"? I wish the prices for the cartridges were lower. That's the way the ink cartridge bounces though. Thanks that I don't use the printer too much. HP Ink cartridges are great. When I print a page from my "Envy5660", the page looks great. The ink never bleeds!

Mistake was corrected with slowest shipping method
The wrong cartridge was originally sent. I send it back. The replacement was shipped 11 days ago and is still in route. When a mistake was made, a better grade of shipping should have been used.

I ordered this cartridge because an earlier one I ordered from HP appears to be defective. When I installed the earlier-ordered extended length cartridge, an "X" appeared on the dial and nothing I did would enable the printer to print. I would like to hear from someone about a replacement for what I think is a defective cartridge.

New Color Cartridge is Almost Empty
I recently purchased two HP 62 XL black ink cartridges, and two HP 62 Tri-color cartridges. When I put one of the color cartridges in the printer, it showed that the cartridge was almost empty. To double check, I put in the second color cartridge in the printer and it showed that the cartridge was full. I have lost track of the invoice, so I doubt I will try asking for HP to replace the empty cartridge, but I won't be buying cartridges directly from HP any more.

It's still in the box. Haven't used it because of
of problems I've had using this re-conditioned printer given to me as a replacement years ago for my defective printer. Print in black went dim we concluded because the color cartridge ran out of ink but I found that the black print resumed okay. I hate printer.

My 62XL Cartridge died even though it indicated still at about 1/2 capacity. Tried cleaning the cartridge several times but saw little improvement and was just using up ink during the cleaning process. When I went to order, several ink packages were not available. So, I ordered what I could. After that, HP cancelled part of my order with no explanation. Don't know what is going on here, but I can't seem to find 61 or 62 cartridges anywhere in the stores and the online supply is limited. I doubt my next printer will be an HP product.

It's not that I have an issue with this particular product. My issue is that I have not for a long time been able to get the XL version of this product. If this is a supply chain issue due to COVID (or the Suez Canal) then I apologize.

Cartridge did not print in Colors
I purchased a cartridge in October 2019 but when I inserted it in the printer in December 2020, it only printed in pink. The package indicated that the product was made in Malaysia and had the date May 2021 which led me to believe that it would be useable at least until then. I have not experienced this with this product in the past. When I called to ask for a replacement I was told that the product did not appear in my orders from HP but I found it under my account?

I buy only HP Printers. They are reliable and always available in most stores. I really like the fact that are consistent and customer service is on hand if you need them. I use the printer for my small card making hobby. Colors are very clear and fresh.

I have always used HP ink, the times I did not use HP ink I was not happy with the results. Always ran out too soon and the colors where not of the same quality as HP. Will always use HP ink from that point forward.

Cartridge works fine, more than I can say for the printer. Shuts off every 30 minutes, whether I want it to or not. Probably an easy fix, but NO CUSTOMER SERVICE NUMBE AVAILABLE. Probably my last hp purchase, as this is unacceptable.

Hp 62 color cartridge
The regular color cartridge started running out at approximately 10 to 15 pages. This is way too soon, and makes color copies unaffordable. I will stop using this printer for color copies. The quality was so-so. Not great, but not horrible either.

This ink size doesn’t last very long. I do paper arts and need to run copies of items purchased; unfortunately I need two cartridges often to finish a project. The xl size lasts longer.

The cartridge always works fine, as long as it is full of ink. Manufacturers always have defects like the previous cartridge I received. This one seems to be full of ink and will last a long time.

Good color ink cartridge. I haven't kept track of calendar time, but the xl cartridge seems to last over a year in my HP printer. I haven't had a true HP cartridge dry out, either. I bought some reused cartridges from a brick store, and those have dried up very quickly - what a waste of money. I recommend true HP cartridges.
