It didn't even print 160 pages. Quite soon after printing the color turned brown and a short time after that the printer said it was low on ink and to put in another cartridge. I was really disappointed after paying the higher price. I guess it was just a fluke, but I still didn't get my money's worth.

I was offered free shipping on purchase of 2-cartridges. And the recommended shipping option was delivery in 2-4 days. I ordered on a Saturday. Delivery was on Tuesday, 7-business days later. Very frustrating - I will not make that mistake again!

I have tried reinstalling the cartridge more than 30 times, restarted, turned totally off, you name it, couldnt make it work even following all kinds of instructions from the printer or your website. Defective is my only idea. my printer is almost new, barely use it. meant to be compatible with the 63xl. cant think of something else. My money is in the process of being refunded and we will try it again with a new one. in the meantime ive been wasting 2 weeks of time and have been needing to go print somewhere else making it a problem for us.

I have followed every troubleshooting tip on the HP support site to no avail. If I re-install the empty cartridge the display returns to normal. Obviously this cartridge is defective, but HP's website is not helpful on obtaining a replacement: there seems to be no way to contact them, only a not helpful automated chat. I will try calling their service department on Monday to see if I can get any satisfaction. First time in 25 years that zi have had a problem with an HP product!

Its just HP 63XL Black printer Ink I bought for my HP Officejet 5255 and does work great and gives you more Ink to print more pages! ...And I do recommend over the standard size HP Ink cartridges which don't last no time! But! ...For the price if you bought both the Tri-Color XL and Black XL Ink cartridges at the same time you could add a few more dollars to it and buy a nice new HP AIO (All In One) Printer, Scanner and Fax! And also don't assume the cartridges are going to last un-opened and still in there box until the expiration date on the box as they don't! ...And HP wont do anything about it! ...So if your going to buy them I suggest you use them! Come on HP get your prices down on Ink cartridges so people like myself can afford them and continue to use genuine HP Ink Cartridges!

I suppose it will fit where it goes, as the box has the same number as the cartridge in the printer currently. I suppose it will work as desired and make nice, crisp, clean, black images. I haven't needed to install it yet.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Buyer BEWARE: I have the HP app on my computer and was receiving pop up notifications saying I need to replace my ink cartridge. The pop up takes you to the HP store to conveniently purchase the replacement. Which I purchased. The pop ups will continue to pop up even after you purchase so I had to turn my printer off as it created a software issue with my mac. The cartridge that HP recommends is not the one that my printer uses. don't trust the app. look up what printer you need. Hopefully the app gave accurate information about my cartridge being low....

I am out-of-work due to JCPenny bankruptcy and work shortage due to less hours of Barboursville, WV store reduced work hours. I have continued to try and send resumes to companies without any luck. I apply online but would want be able to fax a professional looking resume and cover letter to a prospective employer. I have used the same printing paper as always and have written your company for an adjustment to my payment receiving not any responses from you. We are done!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I am very disappointed, and upset that I spent so much money on so little ink! It did not last as many pages as it was supposed to.

After printing just less than 80 pages, my printer is telling me that I’m low on Black Ink! Really? Its got to be a flook... but just my Luck. If it’s ever going to happen... It will ALWAYS happen to me! Thank God I ordered 2. I’m crossing my fingers that it won’t happen TWICE!

I always buy HP cartridges so when I replaced my black, I was amazed at the notification that the cartridge was NOT COMPATIBLE. I re-inserted the cartridge numerous times with the same result. I had ordered new color and black cartridges and used one of the blacks. It was fine. I am not sure what occurred with the other one, but $30.00 is a lot to pay for something that does NOT work.

There isn't any way that I printed out 480 sheets of paper before I had to go to the store and get another cartridge. Now I'll go to Consumer Reports to see which printer I should have bought.

The printer will not read them and keeps asking me to reinstall them, refuses to work, but when I put in the old (empty) cartridges it is perfectly happy. The first one went onto an old printer and so I thought it was the printer itself. But this one was for my 1-yr-old printer. There's no yellow! My orange comes out red. And when I try to print yellow highlight it comes out dashed with red/orange....again no yellow. Hmmm...somewhat discouraged at this new unexpected development with HP.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from XL PRINT Count NOT ACCURATE I just replaced my printer cartridge with an XL I just purchased which advertises it will print over 400 pages. I figured I would purchase this XL because I knew I had a lot of pages to print in the future and my old cartridge did not last very long. In the process of replacing the cartridge I discovered that the old cartridge was also an XL but unfortunately it printed less than 40 pages. I am hoping this new cartridge has made some improvements.

However, when I installed it I got the error message: "indicated cartridges are not for use in this printer." The printer worked fine with the previous two basic 63 cartridge (the second one has run dry), and the two versions look identical. However, the printer rejects the cartridge. No matter how good the cartridge may be, if it will not work when installed it is useless. It appears I am out $33, because I cannot take back the cartridge and opened box to the store.

A few months ago, I bought very cheap cartridges of another brand. They ruined my printer. I will not make that mistake again. Printer is fine, I like features - except the touchscreen inexplicably goes dark about 2x p/day; need to unplug or turn off printer & reboot to get the screen back. What a pain! And the paper jams constantly. But, the big problem: I now have a printer than I can't afford to print on! I have spent more on ink in 1 month than the entire cost of the printer! I find that EXPENSIVE black ink cartridges (HP63) last ONLY 2 to 2-1/2 DAYS of printing! SUPER-EXPENSIVE HP63XL cartridges last ONLY 5 DAYS! There is NO WAY that I print 380-480 pages every month! I already print on the 'draft' setting. I don't print photos - though I wish I could...I have photo printing paper, but I now see it will be prohibitive to afford ink if I print photos, it's more cost effective to have them printed at a photo shop. I am unemployed/job hunting & on limited income - I CANNOT AFFORD $160 every month for ink alone! I wish I had know this before purchasing.... I would NOT have bought this HP printer!

I have an older and newer model of printers, the older model uses HP28 and HP56 ink, while the newer model uses an HP63. HP is the only supplier of the older model ink. This order was ink for both printers. I have used HP ink from the beginning and I highly recommend HP products.

The quality even of documents was less than acceptable and when it came to photos, forget it! Switched back to authentic ink cartridges and never looked back. I needed that ink no later than the 4th day and it never showed. Had to run inside a store to purchase it twice the amount I paid online for it.. that would be my only problem.

Trying to contact Hp for a replacement has been a huge headache. there is no easy place on line telling me what to do and phone doesn't work. VERY BAD SUPPORT from this company. I am very disappointed and would like to return the defective cartridge for a refund but cannot figure out how to do that.

My husband's vision is going, and he can work the crossword if I print it on two pages. I haven't printed in color much, if any, but the colors looked sharp on the test page. Installed the new cartridge and said to reinstall cartridge because it would not print went to help and done all steps it said to do, still would not print. went a bought a new cartridge and installed it works fine. Spoke to someone at HP he was no help at all. Now I have a 63XL cartridge that is no good that I paid $42 for and no way to get help from HP. This is the first time in years I have ever had a problem with HP.

They work incredibly well, and I frequently use the scan and print functions. I have noticed that the ink never seems to last very long; we just replaced both our cartridges approximately 3 months ago, and we don't print a lot. So utilizing HP's website, I ordered more ink. A promotion was going on, so I got free next day delivery, awesome! I did notice that for these particular cartridges, there are 3 different "sizes". Now, the cartridges are all the same shape/size obviously, but HP sells them with different levels of ink in them. My issue is why? I would compare this to a restaurant giving you a large glass, then offering to fill it to various levels, and charging more for each level. If the cartridge can hold "x" quantity, fill it up, and sell it, simple.

It’s especially great during the COVID-19 stay-in order. I have ordered cheaper ink cartridges in the past from other distributors, but they are not of the same quality I get from HP ink cartridges.

Since we are home bound due to the Covid-19 quarantine, my chances of getting out to an office supply store were slim. Especially since I am at the target age of 69 and have compromising conditions! After I ordered my ink I realized it was from California, I thought it would never arrive, due to all the mail delays and the fact that I live on the East coast. But to my surprise and delight, the ink came in a remarkably short amount of time. I have been very pleased with the product, especially because I can purchase a high yield cartridge. It seems like I was always running out of ink. I definitely will be purchasing my next set again through HP and would highly recommend anyone with an HP product to do as well.

I bought the wrong dang cartridges, and didn't find out why they weren't working until I'd opened two of them! I purchased cartridges marked "63" because my printer shows up with that number in my printing center... but once I looked inside the physical printer, I discovered that I needed "61" cartridges. Extra confusing because they're the same form factor. Why not make more universal cartridges, if the form factor is the same? I'm really bummed about this big waste of money.

I also received super fast shipping and this ink cartridge came with a free envelope to send your used cartridge in. How cool is that HP is helping to keep our planet clean. When you came out with Printers, I had one and have had several for the company I was working for as highway designer. My current printer is an HP Envy 4520 and its doing very well. And I am tired of companies that fish for compliments. I am 87 years old and handicapped. Regards, Fran.
