You can't use non HP ink in it that would be cheaper either. Considering another brand when I make my next purchase of a printer. Unless they lower the cost of the ink refills.

My prior ink cartridge lasted 2 years. Did you reduce the amount of ink you are putting in the cartridges. It's crazy that it is low one month later. Very dissatisfied.

I placed the order on a Monday; it wasn't delivered until Thursday and then because I wasnt home, it got sent to the post office near my house so I didnt get it until Friday - 5 working days! I will never do this again. HP shouldnt advertise those delivery times if it cannot fulfill them.

I've tried to have the cartridges re-loaded by other vendors but the price is almost the same as a new HP cartridge, the quality of the ink is not as good and it doesn't last as long as a new HP cartridge. I learned it's better to get the HP cartridges and have peace of mind.

They do not smear or leak onto the paper, and print the correct line widths required for text, photos, and even copies with hand-written notes. I am also pleased that when the printer goes unused for a while that these cartridges do not dry out as some other cartridges do.

Others ink cartridge makers claim to be as good as your original HP ink cartridges, however that has not proven to be the case. I've spoken with others who have had disastrous results using off brand cartridges! Personally, I would not want to take a chance and damage or ruin my HP Printer, with subpar cartridges. If you demand top quality printing, always use HP genuine ink print cartridges, I do! :-)

I use it wireless which keeps one wire of my desk top. I am impressed with the quality of the colored photos, and documents. Up until about 4 years ago, I volunteered my time writing memoirs for Hospice patients and printed two 8-1/2 x 11 books for each patient. There would be a lot of photos, some new, some old, and they always came out good. The families were always surprised by the quality of the finished copies I gave them. I tried a competitive printer one time and couldn't wait to get rid of it. I couldn't count on getting quality color uniformly from one copy to another. I was unable to get good mileage from each ink cartridge.

It’s not much, but it makes no sense. In addition, II have to pay 7.5% NJ sales tax for online orders. If I buy local (Salem County), it’s only 3.5% sales tax, and if I buy in Delaware, it’s no sales tax. It used to be worth it for the convenience of free next day delivery, but now that’s gone. What is the incentive to buy online?

I see no reason why remanufactured cartridges shouldn't be as good, but my experience is that HP cartridges are much less likely to cause trouble. We even once got a remanufactured cartridge that proved empty - the firm would have gladly replaced it but who needs the trouble? I only wish HP cartridges were cheaper or lasted longer.

I often had to clean the print head because it appeared that the off-brand black was somehow contaminating the yellow, so my yellow was always off- colored until I switched it back to an HP.

I was a Sr.Tech in office products & automated syst's maintenance AT hp for 18 years. hp no longer builds quality or support that Bill H. and Dave P. would OK. It's ALL CHEAP (for hp) now. My 8600 officejet pro has a NEW $200 printhead and all NEW cartridges, and is STUCK in "DAMAGED CARTRIDGE" message loop. The only "FIX" offered is BUY ANOTHER $125 cartridge set. After the printhead $$$ and, now, two new cartridge sets $$$, I literally could have bought a NEW PRINTER! There is NO t'shooting information or support, NO repair manual available .NO Service info available. ZERO SUPPORT! I was always hp loyal until this. BUY a CANON. Their software is inferior to hp's, but their cartridges aren't fragile and finicky. My just-as-fast 7 yr old $80 Canon has never missed a lick!

I had the new Black cartridge still in the shipping bag so I proceeded to remove it from the bag and pulled the cartridge out the bag realizing my hand was full of ink I checked the box in the bag and ink has spewed out all over in the bag and box. Not sure who to ask for refund in this case HP or mail service.

I realize that there are cheaper cartridges out there but when you have to depend on your printer to get an order out on time, why would you gamble on anything but the best specifically made for your printer? It's a no brainier to me, but its' something to think about the next time you need a refile for your HP printer.

I was not able to use the the black cartridge I purchased from HP and three other new cartridges I purchased from Walmart and the Micro Center in Baltimore. Although the new cartridges are correctly inserted, the printer decided to reject them with an error stating the cartridges are either empty or damaged.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Black is flooding out all other colors! I replaced my Black and Yellow cartridges at the same time. Yellow is not coming out at all... it's all black. I set up a graphic image file, an all-yellow canvas. First printing is all-black. second printing gives me a small amount of yellow, mostly black. 3rd, 4th and 5th printing a little more and a little more and a little more yellow. Same for the 7th 8th and 9th printing. I'm getting to an almost faithful representation of the yellow color in my canvas. Next day we are back to printing all black for the yellow canvas. I've cleaned the heads and pulled out and re-inserted the cartridges several times now. To say I'm upset is a gross understatement.

I'm not a heavy printer user but I always go with the XL (extra large) because it's more cost effective and lasts me much longer than the standard size cartridges. The ink never smears, thanks to being quick drying and it works great regardless of the thickness of the paper used. HP ink will always be my go to, providing the quality isn't degraded.

When I replaced these cartridges in my printer that same message came up so I was happy about that. The next thing I found helpful was in my package of new cartridges was a return bag that gave me the opportunity to return the old spent cartridges for recycling. That was very useful. I’m back to printing again and pleased that all is working as expected. This was my first time to use this service and the free shipping was nice.

The price is comparable to the "big-box" office supply stores (there's only one brand here--no Staples). S & H is free. I don't have to burn $4.00/gal gas to travel to the stores with the hope they have the cartridge I have. The pre-paid return envelope for empty cartridges is a plus!

Although my cartridges were placed in the printer, NOT ONE page printed as the printer head could not be detected. I have lost $133 including tax and shipping. I AM a LOYAL hp customer who has since bought ANOTHER hp printer (for less than the cost of the previous unused cartridges). The unused cartridges do not fit the new printer either.

I can print far more pages with this ink cartridge than with the regular one and that saves time and money with less cartridge changes - definitely worth the additional cost to purchase the XL over the standard black cartridge. I had a program to do that was 500 pages and the ink ran out before I could finish my program. I had to go to Walmart and purchase more ink to finish my program. I was told the XL ink was to last much longer. I was very disappointed with this product. It did not last much longer than the regular ink. The price was good. The quality of the ink was really good. It said xl on the package but it sure did not do as the regular in I had in my printer before. The ink is very expensive to not last. It should have at least did a 1,000 sheets more pages on the color ink and at least 1500 more pages on the black xl. I was very very disappointed with this purchase. Rated 5 out of 5 by from Good Capacity + When 1 goes out, the rest stay lit Nice to have an ink cartridge with a 2300 page capacity at a reasonable, though not inexpensive, rate per page. I'm guessing that getting this many pages into one cartridge rather than 3-5 leads to efficiencies. The cartridge itself is not huge, about the size of the 3-color cartridge (#23) for my old HP. As for the 'When one goes out' comment, folks out there with a few miles on them who celebrate (or at least decorate for) Christmas might remember when one burned out bulb meant the whole string of lights did not work. That changed and manufacturers made sure they let you know on the boxes. To get to the point, it's great that with my HP that uses these cartridges I can continue to print if one (or maybe more) cartridges run out. It's the main reason I did not go with Brother or Epson.

I ordered the second paper tray which gives me the option of 8 1/2 x 14 inch paper, I have also run labels with no problems, and color flyers for a Sorority in addition to special paper for bulletins for my church. I love to order my supplies from HP because of free delivery in two business days, and pay for the orders on my PayPal account. The ability to email documents, scan and fax are a plus. I feel this printer should have received a better rating. I am thinking about upgrading when the price is right.

That immediately Transferred to my hands, something not quite right here, Confirmed my suspicion after opining the package. One of more, at least the Black exploded. Not quite willing to change my natural color and wont dig in to the rest of content. Will see if an expedited new delivery will occur, as I am running a business. An enhanced packaging, could be food for thought.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Incomparable! I only use HP Inks, really, I can only use HP Inks! Unit will not work well, if at all, with clones refills and cheaper offerings. But then again, I don't mind having to use HP. It's easy, convenient, and really, not much more expensive than other brands, and the ink cartridge is always reliable and performs well. I have several brands of Printers and Multi-function machines. My HP Officejet Pro 8615 with HP ink cartridges is one less "darn" machine I need to worry about!

Extendability (which is the capacity to tint and shade retaining chroma and hue). HP inks perform excedingly well in extension and in basic coverage. The question of economy is linked to paper absorbancy and is difficult to rate; but seems very good when used on the "color lock" paper, even in a common grade of paper. Opacity is a drawback of any ink as it is a dye and not pigment. This is a subtle point which does not effect most users.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from There’s always a problem So first off let me say that the rating is for the ink because I have never had a problem with HP ink or the delivery service. Always delivered fast and always works. Now comes the problem: your machine tells you that your low on in, so of course you order more and it comes. Meanwhile you’ve notice there’s a error message and now you go through all the steps to solve the problem including installing the new ink, only to find out that the only way to fix the error is to buy a new print head. Problem is the print head cost more than I paid for my printer new. So now I’ve wasted a $60.00 print cartridge and still have no printer which means now I have to go purchase a new one. If thes machines would show more than ink levels in the App that would save me money in the long run. Office jet pro 8600.

My issue with the product is that it fit the 8500 and 8600 series printers without issue. Now HP has gone to another printer, with identical features but requiring a different ink cartridge. Bad move on HP's part. Also purchase from HP can be expensive unless they run a sale on the cartridge. Cartridges can be purchased for at least 25% less elsewhere on the Internet.

I can put the old cartridge back in (its low but not out of ink) and it still works. Whats up HP?? this is the second Officejet that has presented printer cartridge issues. I am not buying ANOTHER printer....I want a solution. My warranty is up so HP support will not help me. This printer is not that old. Im using authentic HP cartridges.

I used a recycled ink cartridge in my prior HP printer, and I believe that's what messed up my printer. This cartridge may not be the cheapest brand on the market, but it prints perfectly and practically forever, plus my machine is still working perfectly as well. I learned my lesson. Go cheap, and you mess up your printer.

I always use HP ink right, but I decided to try the ink company with the cheapest price will, I’m here to save you money, time and keep you from messing up your printer like I did. After using the cheap ink a couple times it happened at the worst time ink blots on every sheet that I printed for my meeting. I open the ink compartment and ink was all over the inside of my printer. I cleaned inside of my printer, ink dropped on the floor (what a mess), I got ink all over my fingers that took days to get off. I hurry up and ordered some ink from HP and my printer have been working very well. So the morels to my story is cheap isn’t always best. HP delivered my ink in two days and I was up and printing again.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Regionalization of Printer Cartridges I purchased the 950XL, along with the 951XL yellow, magenta, and cyan cartridges for my HP Officejet 8600 printer. Upon installation, and much to my surprise, I received an error message indicating the cartridges were incompatible with the printer. After much investigation, I learned that HP "regionalized" their printer cartridges such that cartridges purchased in the USA/Canada are encoded Z10. My printer was 6 years old and was calling for Z20 cartridges because one of the older cartridges whose warranty expired in 11/2018 had that regionalization code - even though I purchased it in the USA from the HP store. Several attempts to have HP do a "regionalization reset" on the printer failed - we were told the 6 year-old printer, though working just fine, was obsolete and we needed to purchase a new printer. I WILL, BUT NOT AN HP!! Indeed, based on this corporate decision, I will never purchase another HP product.

Imagine my surprise when my printer informed me that I had a counterfeit cartridge and needed to return it to the place of purchase. I returned it along with the message generated by my printer (word for word), received my refund and came home and promptly ordered through HP Home & Home Office Store. Never again will I risk running out. I will always keep original HP inks on hand!

I had replaced the black ink cartridge from Walmart in our HP Officejet Pro 8600 with a brand new sealed 950XL cartridge a few weeks ago but it showed as 'Used, Refilled or Counterfeit Cartridge Detected'. My second order which was delivered so quickly was the color inks. I changed two of the colors and am very satisfied with how my copies look.

Being in school means a lot of printouts and a lot of ink used up. I have been going through ink at a rate of one set of cartridges every couple of months. That hurts the pocket book!! I have tried the refillable route. I ruined a good printer that way. Never again. I guess the old saying that "you get what you pay for," is still correct. I'll stick with HP. They stand behind their products. They also deliver right to the door!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from The wireless works great, but I've had the Officejet Pro 800 about 4 months. My previous usage was with a B&W laser printer. The heat generated by laser tends to curl the pages and I wanted inexpensive color printing. The wireless feature works great. Have not used the internet printing yet. This thing is big. Takes up as much space as any printer you'll find. The paper pick on this printer is poor - it constantly pulls 2 sheets (or 1.5 sheets). Very frustrating. My friend's earlier version did the same thing. I guess I thought that would be fixed with the 8600. It uses more ink than I expected, whether using black or color. To print 9,500 pages I have gone through 5 high yield black cartridges & 3 color cartridges. Print speed is pretty good. However the two sided printing is extremely slow. It prints the 1st side then pauses to let the ink dry before it prints the back side. If you have multiple copies its faster to print one side first then flip the stack over and print again on the back. Most of the functions have to be selected from the printers LED display. Still trying to figure out where scanned files go. I've been saving to a memory sick because I can find them easier that way. The scanning image quality is not as sharp as I had expected either. If I had to do it over again I would pay the extra money and get a Brother Color Laser printer.

But while I procrastinate about going to Sta----, I am using my colored ink, which is not very efficient. This time I read the pop up and it said HP overnights the ink and postage is free. Whether they build the price into the postage, I don't know. But I ordered the ink at about 8 pm and had it the next day. So no procrastination, no waiting in line at Sta----, no using my colored ink. This is the way to go.

They last a long time and continue to do a fine job of printing until they are completely used up. I have tried other brands, and even refilled my own cartridges, and found that NOTHING works as well as Genuine HP XL ink cartridges.

The new cartridge, always in the past the correct one for my printer, now comes with technology that communicates to the printer that it will not work in my old machine, rendering the printer unusable. The ink is extremely over priced and anyone with an HP printer has no choice other than to over spend on the ink. I won't buy another HP product as a result.

As a regular customer, I get a 10% discount. Since I always have a least one cartridge for each category on hand, I usually wait for a special coupon or promotion to make my purchase, receiving an even greater money savings, which gives me a much better price than the membership giant stores (Sam's Club, Costco). Shipping is free; I usually opt for the standard shipping, but instead, I usually am given 2nd day delivery.

I was frustrated this time though that HP had changed the regionalization with the ink cartridges and when I switched my black cartridge, it would no longer work with my color cartridges. I ended up having to change my color cartridges also when they still contained at least half of their ink and had to be on the phone with HP for almost an hour total while they were connected to my printer to get everything working again. Very frustrating and I hate wasting products or money and feel like I did both now that I have to throw away my color cartridges that no longer work with my printer.

I print because documentation is necessary. Every time I need ink, it doesn't matter where I look; HP always comes thru with the best pricing on OEM Cartridges for my printer. I like the free recycle feature also. And who could complain about free overnight shipping? I get superior performance from HP Cartridges and the HP Website (even if it is slow to respond at times).

Our family has two children in college and they write a lot of papers, we use our printer and computer for letters, work and cards. This ink is very dependable and appears to last a long time with the use we give the printer.Ink dries fast and never has smeared. We have been using HP ink for at least a decade now. Never had any problems at all with any HP ink product.

This is the first printer I've ever had tht used more than one ink cartridge. Bring the price down a little. You haven' seen black until you see the black this thing puts out. It's blacker than black. Now, I like black letters on my printed pages as much as the next guy, but golly bob howdy! We're talking black here! And so MANY black letters! This thing will print black letters and lines and stuff until the cows come home! I'm telling you, if you like black, and you like to print black letters, then THIS is the cartridge you should buy. I have attached a photo in what I see now is a vain attempt to illustrate just how black this black ink is.

I have never had any issues with any of them. The HP 950 XL High Yield cartridge is no different. I usually get at least 2-3 months use out of the black high yield cartridges. I use them until they won’t print anymore. I always keep spare cartridges on hand when one runs dry I have a replacement ready to go back into the printer then reorder a replacement.

It is convenient, the interface is friendly, you know the inks are always fresh and guaranteed and the price is right. Delivery is fast! Why get dressed, go to town, park, mess around in the store looking for what you want, wait to get checked out, drive back home, and IF there is something wrong with the product, it's a hassle to get that taken care of. (I must say the same good things about ordering HP hardware as well: couldn't be happier with my several years' experience! Couldn't be better and support and service is A-Plus.)

I have been using their products for over 25 years. The black high yield is the best ink yet. It lasts a lot longer but still gives excellent printing & it doesnt smudge. I’m working with the HP 8630 and obviously I’ve purchases that printer 20 times over with its own ink purchases alone. I thought there was some kind of ‘instant ink’ enrollment special pricing? I just dunno...for the longer than average shipping time; there’s no real benefit that I’ve seen from buying here as opposed to just purchasing them from your local Wal-Mart. Why is there no combination pricing? I just dunno, it’s irritating and I do have other choices, especially when I’ve been with HP as a loyal customer and feel like loyalty at this place doesn’t mean anything.

I contacted HP and was told my printer was out of warranty and they could not troubleshoot the issue. Yes, the printer was out of warranty but the issue was the new ink cartridges. The printer worked without issues before installing the new ink. Additionally, this particular error message told me to contact HP. Since I did not know how to troubleshoot the ink issue, I returned the ink and received a full refund. I then purchased a new printer. It was not a HP printer.

I don't have to worry if someone picked them out of a dumpster to sell to me, they are brand new. And always get a discount, albeit a small one, but it pays for the tax plus a little. I bought an HP Envy and after a few months had a problem, they had to replace the motherboard. I told them I repaired computers and all that I did to troubleshoot, then they sent me a shipping box post paid and I sent it away and little over a week I got it back. Fixed, and I am still using it even to type this note. Yes, I love HP.

I was surprised to find that the product contained a whole lot of this black liquid stuff and when inserted in my HP printer it would actually cause the black liquid stuff to cause print to appear on the paper in the HP printer. The last cartridge worked just fine before it ran out of ink. I have posted my problem on the HP forum. The printer has been deleted and reinstalled with up to date software and firmware. I also reset to factory setting with no results. I am about ready to change printers but I have a fortune in ink cartridges that are 'not' compatible. Same style, same number and for USA and Canada. I don't know what else to do but to ask if there is a regional code that can be used.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Always buy HP! I made the mistake of buying a cheaper off-brand to save a few bucks. Boy, was that a mistake! The ink was in inferior, the printer had streaking problems, and they ran out much faster. That’s the last time I do that. These HPs are clearance and reliable.

I still had a little ink left because I order ahead so that I don't find myself without it when I need it. The cartridges last a long time and make lots of copies and always look good.

If it works as its' predecessors have it will be pure, crisp and long lasting. This review is more about the delivery service which I found to be very good. I ordered it online. HP makes that process, in my case a re-order, very easy. Shipping is built into the price. It arrived quickly in the promised time frame. I would have rated it higher except for the predatory pricing.

I will probable be doing this all the time. Also they sent me a envelope for my empty cartridges and all I had to do was put them in this envelope and take it to the Post Office and shipping was paid by HP. What a deal.

My only "head scratching" moment with my most recent order was that the HP special discount was limited to two products. Of course, HP must know that most printers have four ink cartridges, not two. Hence I ended up breaking my order of four into two separate orders of two each to qualify for the promotion. This caused HP to have to process two orders with two separate shipping events and thus incur additional shipping charges. What were you thinking HP???

One was empty and two was low. After installing the empty cartridge, I got a notification that one of the low cartridge was damaged. I'm glad I purchased the other cartridges or I would had to make another order. I am very disappointed.
