Rated 5 out of 5 by from Pretty good for the price Needed to replace a keyboard that came w/new Dell CPU. This keyboard seems like keyboards HP used as stock w/purchase of new computer system. Has features most users need/want. Keyboard is very responsive and has a good feel. The keys are also slightly indented on top, providing good fingertip contact. My only suggestion, make keys less slippery, maybe add more texture.

The small booklet of 3 pages is only about warranties, and NO INFORMATION about key selection. How do I discover what a few keys do, other than trial and error, when I have hit one b mistake?

I have one that had a server dropped on it which cracked the casing but it still works fine. Mine has had every liquid on earth spilt on it and still works fine. These are the Nokia 3210's of the Keyboard world.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Disappointed Upon opening the box, I noticed there was no volume control buttons which is important for me. So I immediately return the product. HP should provide a better and clearer picture of the products they offer on their website. From the website's picture this keyboard shows what appears as 3 keys with some white labels on upper tight hand corner. I presumed it was the volume control, but they were only labels for the Num Lock, Caps Lock, and Scroll Lock LEDs.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Comfortable but LOUD I purchased this keyboard because I've always had good luck with this brand and Dell's site said "The low-profile keys offer a comfortable typing experience and noise-free operation, letting you maintain a quiet workspace." I do like the low-profile keys and it is a comfortable typing experience but the keys are super springy and they make a ton of noise no matter how softly I type. It's almost embarrassing how loud this keyboard is.

They should know that often when one's computer starts up, this keyboard isn't activated, and they will in that case, have to go into the control panel "devices" to get things going again with this device. Once activated, this keyboard ideally should remain active and ready to use every time one starts up one's computer.

This is a replacement for the same model, which worked well for me for 18 months except that the characters wore off some of the frequently used keys (a,c,d,e,s. I touch type without looking at the keyboard so I don't usually notice, but there are times (e.g. when I just woke up and I'm keying in a password) when I like to have the labels on the keys for reference. I would have given it 5 stars if the labels on the keys were more durable.

I bought this for the fact that it was supposed to be whisper quiet. the users I gave it to have already complained that its just as loud as the keyboards they were using before this one. If you are expecting this keyboard to be really quiet then don't buy it. otherwise its a perfectly serviceable keyboard

Eventually, I figured out that I needed to download something from the internet to change the backlit colors. After that, it was a breeze. I haven't spilled anything, dropped it, or done anything to test its durability, but so far it's been working with no problems.

It served it purpose so purchased another that I expect will last just as long. By the way, I was abusive. Most times eating my lunch at my desk a lot of crumbs ended up falling into my keyboard.
