Just the kit I needed.
1TB dedicated to Time Machine backup (2021 Retina iMac, only 500GB), 1TB for all the junk on my 2011 iMac - I'm in the middle of transferring thousands of photos. Took a while to sort out Time Machine - amongst other things I had to exclude the storage partition from backup (I didn't read that anywhere in the instructions), but all running smoothly now.

Worst experience and total frustration. Nearly one month and
This is the worst purchase experience I ever had. Bought and paid for external 2t ssd on 13 Feb 2024 and now it's 11 March 2024 with no sign. Called them several times, turns the first one is lost and they promise a replacement in 3 days but no avail. Totally unacceptable. Thought buying directly from the manufacturer should be a walk in the park but no such luck. So allow at least a month minimum and hope it doesn't hold up your work. BTW, supervise promised to call me on Friday after consulting the team and no surprise that he didn't bother!

Buyer Beware - I would not buy this product again
I bought this SSD drive because I wanted to have a backup of my data files. I was told the Acronis app would backup the files I wanted backed up - Documents, Downloads, Pictures, those sort of files
. I did not want to back or clone my entire drive. The website says it can be done, but the Tech Support people I spoke with said it couldn't. I tried and could not. I was even willing to pay as the website described.
I have bought RAM, other SSD drives for my notebook PC and have been pleased with price, performance and support. But now this product. I am going to try to return it and get my card credited.

This Was a Replacement for an X8 That Was Under Warranty
I use this drive as a backup. I purchased an X8 a little less than a year ago and it stopped working and caused my computer to lock up.

Excellent piece of kit a lot smaller than expected.
The model I bought was the 2tb and it's very compact les than half the size of a conventional 2.5 caddy . It's fast and flawless when playing uhd films .

Fast, does what it says, easy to use on Mac
I'm learning video editing on my MacBook Pro. This was so easy to plug in and use and do fast. I can work with the files on it, rather than just store on it. Great product.

It's going straight in the bin.
It doesn't work. I tested the drive and on first use and got expected speeds then it slowed to a snails pace. Then it stopped. I can't trust it.
