This drive is a few years old but has been an excellent boot & OS drive. It’s been used for Windows, various Linux tests, and even an old Mac Pro I was fixing for a friend! I’ve run health check apps & it’s still over 99% healthy despite being used for multiple years. No complaints, at all, for this high quality drive.

I bought it as my 1st ssd and don't regret it. The single fastest ssd at the time and was worth every penny. From loading Windows to games to everyday applications, everything was lighting fast. Also was great because of resale value. Sold it for $5 less than what I bought it for like 6 months later. (I think) it was 540/520 read/write speeds back then, way faster than my 7200rpm mechanical drive I updated from. I recommend any Samsung ssd, including this 1 and I will continue purchasing Samsung ssds.

It helped me store all my documents, office apps, and very efficient. my laptop had a 500gb hard drive and windows 11 was veey slow and inefficient. Once i installed and cofigure my ssd it was very fast such as responsiveness of all apps loaded in seconds and device booted up in 20 second as well. My Experience with EVO ssds
I bought my Samsung SSD about 6 months ago with the aim of improving the speed of my HP Envy laptop by switching from hdd to ssd. I did a lot of research and watched a lot of youtube reviews, which were all pointing to the EVO Ssd as the better product. Started out with a 256gb which I got from a local store and boy my PC was faster than a lightning bolt lol. I'm into heavy gaming and thought after a few months the speed would reduce in a way but so far so good no disappointments. Next target is 1tb, though pricey will try and save up... for the greater good I guess lol. Excellent product overall ??

Anytime I have a drive crash from the manufacturer on a laptop or desktop PC, Samsung is my go to. This drive specifically was perfect for a dedicated Windows OS install; 250gb SSD will provide such a speed boost over an HDD that it’s silly to NOT buy one if you have an older PC and are looking for a cheap upgrade-simply replace your OS install or migrate it to this new drive, reformat your current or use OS management tools to move/remove the older OS partitions from the disc, and you are smooth sailing! FYI I would allow 1-2 days if you need a good working PC, this should allot enough time for this upgrade

I bought this on accident actually and it turned out to be the greatest mistake I ever made! It holds all of my pictures, videos, documents, literally everything. You name it. It is conveniently sized so I can easily throw it in my purse or backpack and take it with me wherever I go. It's great for road trips and vacations because I can stop at the nearest coffee shop and access all my important files and data whenever I need. Absolute bang for your buck!
I bought this when I wanted to upgrade my current PC. Like nearly all Samsung products I've owned, it works perfectly and has really improved my overall PCs performance!!!! It was worth the price and easy install. Transferring all my data was also a cinch, thanks to the included Samsung program.

Best Purchase for my laptop!
I bought thos over 3 years ago to replace a disabled Hard Disk Drive in my Acer Laptop and has been perfect ever since. Samsung Magician application that comes along with it is very useful as well keeping the SSD in top condition.

The 256 Evo. It never dies.
Bought a staggering 12 years ago and it works the same, windows may sometimes have slowdowns but that's gaming for you. Its unnoticeable during normal use and that's what most people do anyways. Sometimes it feels like storage is limited on the device but it's not unless if you decide it's a good idea to download way too many things on it and possibly even download malware from too many minecraft mods! All in all it's a great start to whatever computer you want to go with it.
