THIS PEN IS THE WORST
The nib snaps off and so you can't remove it to replace it. Not worth the money.

S pen perfection!! ????
I ?? MY S PEN PRO!! I use daily for my school and work notes. I purchased it 4 months ago and so far it works smoothly, perfect with no glitches. I use it with my Samsung Tablet S6 and when with my Z fold 4 phone. It switches back and forth smoothly. It charges quickly and it has a long lasting battery life.
I just pre ordered the Z fold 5 and I'm hoping it continues to work smoothly.

Terrible quality
I am not happy with any of the pens that I have used. I bought this one because I thought it was going to be different. The tip of the pen broke off. I am a student so use it everyday to take notes. This is the third pen I buy from Samsung that has the same quality.

I bought this pen because I thought it was going to be better quality. I currently own a galaxy tablet s6 lite to take notes at, it that came with its own pen but I had to buy a new one because the tip broke. This pen has the same cheap quality that is not worth 100 dollars.

Do not buy. Unacceptable Quality
Bought this for school note taking and casual digital art. First nib broke within a month or two. Thought it was maybe a faulty one. I was wrong, should’ve returned the pen then. Two months later it broke again, this time I was unable to get the rest of the nib out leaving my pen literally 100% useless. It’s not even fully compatible with my laptop. I expected better from Samsung.

Not very Pro
i'm an avid spen user and major fan! i love trying out new styli, and the spen pro was no exception. after using however, i found the basic s21 pen glided along screens much better, and felt better entirely. the pen tip on the pro is so bulbous and weird, it made using it angled very awkward. the tip even broke after light use! i appreciate all the technology that went into this product, and understand the round tip was meant mainly for the soft fold screen, however this was just a disappointment. if you're looking for something more "pro" the tab s7 spen blows it away.
that being said, i'm very much looking forward to an spen for the next fold device and i'm still very much an spen fan.

not what I was expecting
we recently upgraded from note 9s to s21 ultras. i was so disappointed that the phone did not come with an s pen, because i use it frequently on my note 9. so we ordered this to use with my new phone. what a disappointment. i didn't realize this is bigger than my phone. i can't attach it to my phone in any way. i am told that i'm not able to return it, so i guess my 6 year old son will now have a $100 pen to use with his tablet.
seriously samsung - why did you get rid of the s pens with these new phones????

DO NOT BUY, DESIGN FLAW
i'm writing this after getting a replacement pen.
i draw a lot, so i was looking forward to using this pen. however, after 1 month of drawing and using it, the tip just snapped off, leaving the stem stuck inside the pen. you can't pry it out because of the pens design. so the pen just becomes useless. i contacted support and they agree to send me another replacement.
once again, after one month of using the pen, the tip snapped off, leaving the stem stuck in the pen.
and even worst, the pen is just not a good pen to draw with. the tip is hard, not rubber like the included spen. there is something wrong with it's pressure calibration on almost every app, making it a pain to draw with. finally the button is hard and tiring to press, it hurts your fingers after an hour of drawing.

TOO BIG
It's bad enough you pay $2000 for the fold & then have to pay $50 more for the pen but to pay another $100 for the spen pro in order to use air commands & it doesn't even fit in the case because it's ridiculously huge is just stupid!
I'm extremely disappointed in the phone & the pens!

Don't buy, tip breaks and can't be replaced
after a month or so of use, the tip tends to bend and break. getting the base of the tip out to replace is a pain, plus you only get 3 replacements. when the replacements are all gone, you cannot get any more.
so $99 for a oversized pen that gets maybe 4 months of use then you have to throw it away. what a design flaw!!!!!!

Disappointment
i am very disappointed with samsung in that i have already paid $1800 usd for the galaxy fold 3 but now have to pay an additional $50 to $100 for an s pen which was highly advertised as a selling point for the new fold 3? this should come standard in my opinion with any phone where the stylus is part of the natural design experience for the particular phone. especially during a time like we live in now where the economy is tanking, covid is still causing economic conditions on the family and finally for the phones where you charge over $1k usd for your device.
i had bought the fold 1, fold 2 and now the fold 3 not to mention home appliances and tv's. one of the big selling points was the ability of the s pen.

Just Awful!
i was advised by a supposedly "pro rep" that this pen would work on both screens of my z fold4, more specifically the outer smaller screen and the inner larger screen, it does not! i found an old 2013 rubber tipped stylus that work on both the outer and inner screens so i do not know how samsung could not come up with a pen that would work on both screens especially looking at how much this thing cost, over $100 with taxes. duh!

Poor Design
everything about this pen seems wrong. it is too long and does not even have a clip to hold it in your shirt or jacket, so it is easily lost. the pen indicates that it can communicate via bluetooth, yet it does not appear in the device list pf any device. the only device of mine that does see it, is my galaxy s21 ultra (another poorly designed product). it sees the pen immediately and makes use of it. but this functionality seems to be baked into the os. my galaxy s10+ cannot see it, and neither can my galaxy tab a.

Ridiculous design. Terrible Device.
when i received the s pen that came out for the s21u i was horrified by what i saw. i could not believe that the device was just a cheap stylus that worked the same as an $8 stylus from amazon. when i found out there was going to be a pro design i assumed it would fit in the (also terrible) silicone case. then, when i saw the s pen pro, i was again horrified by what i was seeing. the gigantic piece of junk that is the s pen pro is an embarrassment. i cannot believe that your company is so disconnected from common sense and reality that these are the devices they are marketing as a "true s pen experience." the s21 ultra has, in its own right, been a huge disappointment for me, so this s pen debacle has been nothing short of wasted money for me regarding your entire product line.

needs redesign. i barely had it 1mo before the tip breaks off inside the pen. the stub is impossible to remove. after trying 1½mo, i allowed someone to remove it. using a hot needle, put a hole in the stub, super glued a toothpick to pull the stub out. the heat wallowed out the incert hole. new tip moves around. constant intermittent loss of contact between the pen and the phone. this is on me but, should not be in situation in the first place. samsung needs to make the tips stronger or have the tip of the pen unscrew to take out the broke stub. before this, it was hard to pair with s21. buttons are hard to feel. need to be more prominent or have a rougher surface. had a hard time using the functions that were supposed to be available. need an audio response so that it can be found easily

Bulky, Cannot carry
i had the note20, so, i thought the pen will be similar, this pen is pain, it is longer than the z fold and has an even bigger case, you cannot carry it or hide it anywhere! the z fold itself, does not support the pen on the small screen, folded, you have to unfold to use the pen. impractical, not useful. i am used to note phones, now, the z fold, although it supports pen, but it is not practical to carry that big pen around with a big phone.

this thing rarely works right.
1. no instructions come with it.
2. long pressing the only button doesn't seem to put it in pairing mode.
3. i can get it to work but only as a dumb stylus no better than a finger.
4. i'm a software developer so if i can't figure this thing out, how does the average user get it to work?
5. no documentation. you can pair it with a phone sometimes but getting it to work with bluetooth on windows seems to be impossible.
6. can't get it to pair with my galaxy tab 7 either.

to be clear, i love everything i received last year!!
i love the way the phone and case and pen looks, feels, works together!
i specified all three (i thought) in my order for another samsung galaxy ultra phone this year.

but to my surprise, the view case would not store an "s" pen and the "s" pen i received was not made to fit into a view case.
this years order was a complete and unacceptable surprise.

No magnetic or wireless charge for Tab S8+
I purchased over the phone with a representative. I specifically asked if this s-pen could wirelessly charge on my new Tab s8+ and was told it would. Only reason I got this instead of the model specific one. In reality it does NOT wirelessly charge, nor does it even connect magnetically at all. It is technically compatible with the Tab S8 series but offers no benefit over the model specific stylus which is $40 less.

s-pen pro version does its job. i use it everyday however 2 really annoying flaws that samsung needs to fix. the major one is drawing and writing at an angle. i hold the pen at an angle most of the time, and the screen fails to register pen drawings sometimes when i hold the s-pen pro at an angle. when writing more vertical, i have no issues but feels less natural. the second huge flaw is the pen is easy to lose around the house. for some reason samsung decided not to include an audible noise or beep to find the pen. it only has a completely useless light flash when you use the smart things app. the phone, watch, and buds all have audible noise to find them but not the s-pen pro. why??
other than that, i like the size and i like the features.

Loving This Pen
finally got the s-pen pro, came with 3 replacement nibs/tips. however, the description of the charging method is misleading, multiple sites makes it sound like the pen case charges the pen. instead, you gotta plug a cable into the top of the pen, which loses the clicky bit from the s-pens in the phones, which was one of my favorite things about the s-pen. lastly, a clip for the s-pen and/or case, like a real pen, so you can put it in your shirt pocket without it potentially falling out.

Not so Pro
This pen definitely needs a redesign. It would be nice to place it in the phones. I lost my S Pen so I bought the S Pen Pro because it said it connects to multiple devices. So far that's not actually true. I wanted to connect it to my Computer but it won't. That's leaves me with a bulky S Pen Pro to carry around extra since it doesn't fit in the phone. I was wanting to use it on my computer with my phone connected to my computer, but no... I can't.

Defective S Pen Pro x 2 and trash warranty
I bought the S Pen Pro to have a larger diameter alternative that would accomodate my hands and physical limits with dexterity. The original lasted 6 months before the nib broke below the level it could be grasped. It took me more than a month and multiple resubmissions of the same documents. I received a warranty replacement in the first week of September and it lasted until 11/3/2023 when the exact issue occurred again. I have contacted Samsung warranty center and was advised that I have used my warranty coverage and that they are not going to help me.
1. This pen has been out for a few years and NOTHING has been done to correct this known problem.
2. Samsung is not honoring the 12 or 24 month (depends on who you ask) warranty on their equally shoddy replacement.
3. Dealing with the customer service department is a challenge because the call center is offshore and has terrible connectivity. The calls take twice as long as they should because there are so many misunderstandings due to static.
4. If this situation is not corrected and I am not made whole this will be the last Samsung products I or my family buy. (Phones, tablets, watches, accessories, home appliances)

No Support, Poor Quality
I purchased this nearly a year ago, alongside a Tab S7 FE.
Nib one broke just a day or so after the return policy ended. It broke so far inside of the pen that I knew of no tool to get it out. I took it to the store of purchase and they said they couldn't do anything to fix it and that I would need to buy a new one. I went to several other places, including eye-glass shops and other fine repair. I found a local jeweler repairer who was able to extract nib one for $20.
Nib two broke within a week, while in the case. I was able to shove a sewing needling into the middle of the broken nib and pull it out with friction.
Nib 3 broke about a month later, as I basically stopped using the pen. The needle method did not work this time. I had to cut the end of the pen off so as to get to the broken nib.
I needed new nibs and searched. Samsung does not provide any, there are only after-market ones. Ordered some and they did not work.
I enjoy Samsung products but this pen has single-handedly made me weary of ever buying a pen from them again. It clearly isn't a faulty product but a faulty design as many people have had identical experiences. I would like a stylus to use with my tablet but I cannot find any information regarding which ones work and which ones don't, other than that the S Pen Pro is the ideal pen for it. I will not be spending $100 again just to have a pen that is useless in a few months or that costs me $20 every few weeks to replace the nib. They should have provided me with about 30 nibs with the pen and have some kind of service where you can mail your old pen in to get the nibs replaced while a spare comes to you.
Some design element is missing regarding how easily they break and why they always break inside of the pen. Perhaps I could replace the nibs before they break but I'd honestly have to go through about 40 a year for that to work.
I genuinely think Samsung ought to update the S Pen Pro design and provide anyone, with proof of purchase of the Gen One, a free version of the new pen.
I cannot advise against buying this pen enough.

DO NOT BUY!!!!!!!!!!
I needed help purchasing a pen to take notes with for school on my Galaxy Book3. I reached out via the instant chat on the Samsung website and an employee informed me that this was the only pen compatible with my device (I later learned this was wrong). Within weeks of purchasing, the nib broke off where I couldn't easily grab it out. After searching the internet on ways to get the rest of the nib out, I came across someone that heated the end of a safety pin with a lighter to jam it in there, let it cool, and rip it out. This worked and I was able to replace the nib. But to no avail, it broke off in the same way time and time again. I was able to purchase more nibs on Amazon, and this same process continued for months. The pen stopped working recently due to the constant breakage of the nib. Do NOT waste your money!!!

Don't waste your money
I bought this for note taking in school on my Galaxy Book3. A couple of weeks in, the nib broke off where I couldn't easily grab it out. I looked up online if there was a way to get it out, and someone on YouTube showed that you can heat up the end a needle with a lighter and stick it into what's left of the nib, let it cool, and grab it out. Fast forward to about a year later, and I've continuously been doing that time after time because it keeps breaking, but now the whole thing is broken where I have to press ridiculously hard to get it to work. Get the Wacom One pen - don't bother with this junk.
