Illegal or inappropriate web sites can easily be accessed by any network user with a browser. These same sites are often infected with malware that can be used to steal confidential information and drain employee productivity, as well as put your organization at risk for regulatory non-compliance, funding withdrawal and even criminal liability. An example of these regulatory requirements is that schools and libraries that receive E-Rate funding are required by law to install a content filtering solution that complies with the Children's Internet Protection Act (CIPA).

SonicWall Content Filtering Service (CFS) provides unequaled content filtering enforcement for businesses, educational institutions, libraries and government agencies, as well as distributed public Internet hotspots. SonicWall CFS blocks inappropriate content, reduces organizational liability and increases productivity for organizations of any size.

SonicWall CFS utilizes a comprehensive database of millions of URLs, IP addresses and web sites. Using a high-performance rating and caching architecture, CFS dynamically updates ratings locally on a SonicWall firewall for instantaneous comparison. With CFS, administrators can apply access or denial policies based upon over 59 URL categories, individual or group identity, or time of day.

What do you like best about the product?

I really dont like anything about it so much. I don't have much to compare it to. We have only been using Sonicwalls, but will probably try something else in the future.

What do you dislike about the product?

Too many new issues: The new OS is way to sluggish. Delays moving from screen to screen. Several minutes to restart is too long (180 seconds plus many more 20 second countdowns). It is discomforting to see it trying to connect many times after the 180 second countdown and seeming like it is a never ending loop. Even after it restarts and I log in, it takes a long time for the interfaces to work. The upgrade from 6 to 7 was messy. It leftr too many lingering issues. It was my 4th upgrade and I never had a problem before. LB does not work as support says and the is ZERO documentation on it. It just seems that the all around quality is getting worse instead of better. Support was better before Dell bought them.

What do you like best about the product?

SonicWall device performs well to distribute our network load for our office over 2 upstream providers.

What do you dislike about the product?

SonicWall used to be lean and mean - since being purchased by Dell it hasn't seem to be moving as quickly.

What do you like best about the product?

advanced threat protection capabilities, including real-time threat intelligence, sandboxing, and deep packet inspection. These features help organizations detect and mitigate advanced cyber threats, such as zero-day attacks and ransomware, before they can cause harm.

What do you dislike about the product?

As above recommendation I am totaly disagree. These features not help me to detect and mitigate advanced cyber threats zero-day attacks and ransomware, and it cause harm. Reasons so far as per my knowledge that time: Enabling certain security features or deploying SonicWall devices in certain configurations may impact network performance or introduce latency, particularly in high-traffic environments. Organizations should carefully evaluate performance requirements and consider hardware specifications accordingly. I am not sure is it right findings but I got harmed fully impacted by ransomware.

What do you like best about the product?

We save our data on every device that servers, clients, mobile devices. And our network is better than these secure processes.

What do you dislike about the product?

I think its log management would be better. Sometimes, I don't find an error in the log management.

Ease of use, great UI, long lifespan of hardware, implementation is on the easier side
