I learned also that sometimes you cant tell from old other brands if they are still protecting you, so I take comfort in replacing all of my old protectors with this brand. I like the built in circuit breaker feature that will trip in the case of a circuit overload. I also like the fact that it stops functioning in the event of a power surge thereby avoiding damage to equipment plugged into the protector if the surge protection feature is damaged during the surge.

Double monitors; lap-top; iPad; iPhone; Harmon Kardon Esquire wireless speaker; sit-stand desk and a pendant light are all plugged up into it. I feel confident in the protection. I wish it was a 10ft cord (the reason for one less star), but the reviews from articles and the auto shut-off feature allowed for the compromise. Would be excellent with longer cord options. Unfortunately my husband needed 12 outlets so I had to get a different one/brand for him, but I really am happy with mine.

Convenient spacing for ac adapters. Only change I would recommend is a push on/off switch in lieu of the tiny rocker switch. But not a big problem. Overall very satisfied knowing that my electronic devices are protected. With the new digital electric meters, the line power switches on and off more frequently than the older electric meters.

If you put bigger power blocks in the end outlets, the grounded and protected lights are covered so you can't tell if it's still grounded and protected. All in all it holds more outlets than others I looked at. Nice, long cord.

I've lost 2 modems, routers and Ooma systems due to lightening. I was plugged into a surge protector both times, but it still fried my products. She assured me with the Tripp lite protector my products would be safe and if not they would replace them. So far so good no issues,

Read the fine print on the "lifetime warranty" of their competitors, some offer only a 3 year "lifetime" warranty because their units useful lifetime is that short and after that you're no longer covered. I already have a larger Tripp-Lite home theater surge-protector in use for over twelve years. I won't buy any other brand to protect my sensitive electronics.

At on point I even had a lamp and Christmas tree plugged in as well. There is plenty of space to plug in several items and the spacing allows for those plugs that need more room to be used without covering the neighboring plugs. A couple winters ago we had a huge ice storm and power surges. Everything that was plugged into my surge protector was safe and sound. It did what was promised. I'd buy this one again.

I plug in an iMac and a couple of exterrnal drives as well to make sure they are protected, I rely on the many positive reviews of this product. I also agree that initially it was difficult to plug in many of the devices but after use this ceased to be.

It is buried in a cabinet holding electronic components though I can still see the monitoring lights. I want to protect those components that I cannot unplug easily when I'm away. I personally could live without an 8-foot cord which takes up a lot of room but it makes it useful for other uses than mine. It is a difficult thing to review something that stands by until trouble. None of us will know it works properly until the warning lights tell us it handled a surge and our electronics still work.

I researched surge protectors and several websites had this model in the top 3 every time. I love the fact that when the protector is no longer protecting your electronics then it won't let electricity through. It really protects.

I have connected 2 computers, 2 printers, a router, and a telephone system. 2 of those devices have the large AC adapters, which fit nicely. And there is still room to add more plugs to it. It's great!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Gets the job done Wide spacing allowed me to plug in a number of wall warts. I eliminated some extension cords in the process. The sockets were a little tight initially, but I plugged the strips own cord into each one which loosened them up. Overall, a good product.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Happy with purchase Item arrived on time and easy to install. Some reviewers posted that it was difficult to plug components in but I didn't encounter that problem. Outlets may have been a little tighter than normal outlets but that might be expected in a device that hopefully prevents arcing in the event of a major power surge. Obviously I can't comment at this point about how the item works.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from A well-designed product, hopefully it stands the time test! I like the fact that this has plenty of outlets and considers how much room the bigger square-shaped ones need. I haven't had to use this feature yet, but supposedly it also will shut off when the protector no longer works, so I'm hoping this will help me protect my computer and PS4 console.

I replaced my old cheap surge protector with this one [Tripp Lite 10 Outlet Surge Protector Power Strip, 8ft Cord, Tel/DSL Protection, RJ11, & Dollar 150,000 Ins...] and the buzz went away! I believe it's the Surge Protector's built-in RF filtering cleaning my old office building's "dirty" power. I love the high protection rating. Very pleased with this Surge Protector! No complaints. Would buy again! :-)

It has worked flawlessly for several years. Love that when surge protection no longer functions that the device shuts off power so you know to replace it. Tripp lite also has the greatest warranty. My surge protector was replaced when the green light went out but the surge protector continued to function. Outlets are well spaced out

Sure you can plug them all into a cheap power strip--maybe, since transformer plugs are often oriented in perpendicular angles with wide heads--but all it takes in one power spike, and you'll be replacing expensive equipment. This surge protector is well designed, built well, and carries insurance for your stuff--all at a great price. It's a no brainer.

Every outlet has a slide on cover to keep the outlet closed when it is not being used. That is a wonderful feature!! My three year old boy is always poking his little finger everywhere it can fit, or tries to put objects in little holes. I have recommended the Tripp surge protector to everyone, including strangers in a store who were looking to buy a surge protector.

And am looking into one for After a lightning strike, and a pc rebuild, and new modem, I looked at several options, Tripp-lite, with the lifetime guarantee, and being in a very well known company,. Seemed like a no brainer. Product was well made and very sturdy. And also had the phone line dsl protection. So far so good. We live in SW Missouri, so lightning is a common issue.
