Color Printer from
null
The printer functions reasonably well. Black and white print quality is good. Color print quality is okay, but typically does not print colors a in the hue of source material. My biggest gripe is when one print cartridge is out or low in ink, you cannot print anything, even black and white until to press continue often more than once on the function screen. Very inconvenient and would have been a deal breaker had I known this before purchasing. You have to purchase and install new toner cartridge to fix issue.

Xerox my Friend
Received my Xerox printer through a grant for Childcare Centers...I've had to get familiar with it for sure before I understood how it all worked. And I'm still learning...Replacing these cartridges will be a lot different than an HP for sure. Love how fast it prints and it pretty quiet.

Such A Disappointment from
Paper jams and that's not a bypass tray
I'm very disappointed there is no option to add an additional paper tray and the 'bypass tray' is basically a mail slot. Forget it if you need to mass print envelopes...plan on pulling out the only paper tray, removing all of the paper and resetting it for what you need to print on, then put it all back together once done. And if you try the mail slot option, be prepared for every paper jam under the sun. Wish my IT department had never picked this printer out for me. Please don't waste your time or money.

Do not buy! Cheaper to buy new printer than ink!
I bought a laser printer because I print infrequently and ink jet printers get clogged when unused. After only 150 pages print quality is horrible and toner is low. I contacted support and was told that it was past the 1 year warranty and I needed to buy toner. There is no option to refill this model of cartridge and a new “standard yield” 1500 page (same as the starter cartridge) is $70 so for only $280 I can print another 200 low quality pages. If I get the “high capacity” cartridges at $100 each, maybe I can print 250 - 300 low quality pages for $400. Or, I could buy a brand new C235 for $400 and get 10% off! This has to be the worst purchase I have ever made. Instead of dumping more money into toner, I am looking for another brand that has refillable cartridges and new at a reasonable price.

We purchased this printer for a small office for the replacement for our jet because we wanted to get into the laser color for our promo products and other documents. It works great. Don’t have any problems with it great use of the toner, especially in the regular print mode whichever one should be printing in. I’m glad I purchased it.

I like the printer. The starter amount of black toner is not very much and when I try to restock, everyone is out of stock. So now we have a new printer that we cannot use because we cannot restock black. Doesn't matter how good the printer is if you cant get the supplies to make it work.

It was an easy set up. Printed material came out light. I was surprised that the black ink was at 56% level. The rest of the colored ink was at 100%. No quick start guide, No manual, says it is compatible with windows 7, not true in fact tech support will address windows 7, after downloading user manual and reading all 317 pages it does not address the fact you have to manually reprogram the printer to do manual feed, xerox support tells you to review u tube to find out how to use. Nowhere near the quality of my last Xerox printer.

Loud printing, loses ip address after power outage
This printer has a rather loud sound when printing, makes you think you forgot to remove a piece of packing material. Just the way it is. Had to call for tech support as the machine stopped printing after a power outage. Remedy, it tends to lose its ip address after power failure so the tech entered the new ip address and made it permanent so it cannot change each time. Now the printer works again from laptop, phone via my wifi network. Also it tends to think the paper tray is empty when it isn't. Beats me, I just pull it out fan the paper and back in again. Otherwise good product (not quite one month

Only buy HP products while on the HP Website to prevent a problem like mine.
I bought this printer from the HP website since I have an account with them. The CD that came with it did not have the drivers for printing on both sided. I called HP Technical supportand they told me that I had to call Xerox Tchnical Support since the printer was made by them. Xerox Technical Support told me that I needed to call HP Technical Support since I purchased the Xerox Printer from them. The bottom line is that neither HP nor Xerox would take responsibility for my problem with this printer. So, I had HP Send me a lable so I could send this printer back to them and have them issue a refund for the purchase of the printer. My recommendation to futured buyers is to not purchase anything that is made by a different company other than HP when buying from the HP Website to prevent an insident similer to my problem.

I set everything right with no errors but two sepwrate laptops could print to thr printer. It was found on wifi just fine and i could select the printers but it would not print. I reloaded drivers twice then called support. Each support person I dealt with seemed to know less about the product and problem as the one before and the wait times were long and was disconnected once. I just boxed it up and sent it back. Will never buy anything Xerox again.

Far too many problems
I was about to buy another printer, but a fast talking salesman convinced me to buy this, a bit cheaper and with £30 cashback. I wish I hadn't. It's not worth the saving IMO, the cashback claim is a ridiculous procedure, and I can't get it to work anyway. Setup has not completed automatically as I think it should have using the CD provided and access to web for updates. Therefore it does not yet do what an MFP should do, and technical support so far has not been helpful. It can produce good quality prints, but is often very slow to start and sometimes crashes.

We replaced an Epson all-in-one that was a great printer but stopped copying after only a few months. Excellent print quality
I have been a long-time user of HP printers. Only in recent months, when laser color printers have been difficult to find, did I abandon the HP brand because I could never find their printers in stock. This is when I found the Xerox C235. Feature for feature, this machine competes well against the HP small office lineup. My only complaint is that this machine is a little more difficult to setup and get working. Let me clarify: the machine works right out of the box as a copier. Finding the print drivers on the Xerox website was a little bit cumbersome; too many items to select, and I wasn't sure which to choose. I finally got the driver installed and was able to print from my PC. Next, I struggled for quite a while to determine how to scan to my PC. Using the Xerox website links only brought me to instructions for initiating the scan from my computer. That works fine. I wanted instructions for initiating the scan from the printer to the computer. This functionality was more elusive, but I finally discovered how to do it (this is one area where HP and Xerox work quite differently). Oh, there is one more issue: this printer is very noisy when printing. In fact, so noisy that I need to contact support to ensure that something isn't wrong with the machine. Overall, I am exceptionally pleased with my new Xerox printer.

Old School Scanning
I purchased this printer about 4 months ago. The first one was returned because it was so noisy. I exchanged it and the new one was just as noisy. I later found it is a NOISY printer, so get over it. Yesterday, I had a 75-page document to scan and decided to scan the 75 pages and name one file. Guess what??? I now have 75 different files that I have to rename. You would think in 2022 Xerox could have made a scanner that would make one file from one scan. It is too late for me to return this printer. I called Xerox Support and was told none of their printers will print multiple pages to one file. So I ended up scanning the 75 pages without color to ONE file using my 7 year old Brother printer.

Useless if you do not have a computer.
I just finished installing the printer. In closer look I realized that this printer has on its control panel only [Copy] function. Both other important functions [Scan] and [Print] need to be driven from a computer, desktop or laptop, unless you agree to spend around 60€ per year for an App (Airprint and Airscan). i find, this is ridiculous considering the high price users have to pay for it! A cheap Epson inkjet printer can do all these jobs without any problem. Wish that Xerox could do something about that and update the firmware. The printer is very loud and takes long time to start the jobs! It’s not al all like a laser printer.

I have searched everywhere and just can't find the support I need to see if it is just a setting. I have tried everything. I am bout to junk it and go buy a new HP. I thought Xerox would be a good brand. If you only need office copies, this will do the trick, but if you want to print photo-like images...keep looking...

Great Printer. That said, Tech Support has been unable to solve the WiFi scan function. They indicated over a month ago that Xerox is working on a Firmware and Driver update. In the meantime, I scan documents with my iPhone or with an Epson Workforce All In One that I have put back into service.

Xerox C235 MFP is Excellent
The Xerox C235 MFP that I recently purchased is an upgrade from the Dell C1765nfw MFP that I replaced. It prints faster, and automatically prints on both sides without my having to re-insert the paper. Its print quality is excellent, and I am pleased that I purchased it.

Seems No Duplex Scanner
I bought this printer to replace an HP LaserJet M2 83CTW, which had very buggy firmware. So far I have been very pleased with the Xerox C235. The printing is sharp, the colors are accurate, and all the functions such firmware seem to work properly. My only disappointment is that the sheet feeder seems to do only one sided scanning, not duplex.

Beautiful quality printing
I purchased my printer through a special from Dell when I upgraded my office computer setup early this year. This is my first color laser printer; previously my printers have all been inkjets. My decision has proven to be a wise one, for now I am able to create and print my own quality flyers, bookmarks, and brochures as needed. I am no longer subject to minimum quantity purchases, wait time, or shipping charges.

color bleeding
When my print job changes from one with red in it to black and white the entire left hand margin has a faded pink tint to it. I do not know how to make this go away. I also find it is slow to start printing compared to my last laser printer. It is louder as others mention but due to where it is in my office this has not been a problem.

Do not purchase
Do not purchase. It's slow, loud, and does not do what it should - printing on envelopes was fine for a week, then suddenly will no longer print on them. Does not print on labels (avery 1060), and there's no explanation for how to fix it. Sales person just sold the printer. Has not helped with any issues, or referred me to anyone who can help, after I asked for help. We're stuck with a printer that's way below par of what our old printer was. DO NOT PURCHASE THIS PRINTER. It's a waste of money and time. Also, do not let a sales rep advise you on a printer compatible with what you have, they'll just sell you whatever. Which is how we have this one. It's nothing lose to what we had. Toner is more expensive and it's not worth having at all. For anything.

Never use inkjet again
This printer replaced my inkjet. I was a bit hesitant to purchase a laser printer due to its operational cost. I have to admit that I have only owned this printer for a short while so this review would not cover the long-term operations. That being said, I can now say it was ridiculously easy to set up, which includes the wireless printing. The print quality is excellent and not even a close comparison to the inkjet printer. It is currently used for home office and I am thus far pleased with all the functions that I have used.

Multi-functional - Only
The first C235 I purchased was returned because it was SO LOUD. Before returning, I searched Youtube and the internet for what could possibly be the reason why so loud while printing. There was a youtube post with the same problem and the person demonstrated printing and noise. I called Xerox Customer Service and let the CSR listen. He asked did I want to troubleshoot or return. I returned it and got another C235. This NEW C235 had the SAME LOUD NOISE. I called Xerox Customer Service to troubleshoot this time and was told the noise is normal for this printer. He recommended a 'fix' that would slow the printing speed and would also take about 5 minutes to implement the 'fix.' I decided not to b/c it wasn't just a matter of clicking here & there. So if you don't mind the noise while printing, go for it. The colors are bright, it prints fast, setup is easy, and it does everything an office printer would do.

my wife and daughter got this for me for Christmas. Was very heavy carrying it upstairs to my office. I have never set up a printer in under 5 mins before. Amazingly easy!!!! I've always struggled with my HP inkjets to connect them to the computer via which ever-every way way possible. Working in the computer industry you realize that a lot of products are great mechanically or in theory but trying to get the software to work on them is a chore at times. Computer copied and scanned great and printed outstanding. They got it through the mail so I wanted to try everything right off the bat in case it had to be sent back. Hopefully I'll get many years of use out of it. Buy it!

TradinXerox Solid Ink for C235
Works much faster and quieter than the Phaser 8570. Color prints are basically the same, but not quite the quality coming out of the Phaser. The Black/White prints are fantastic. We have two printers, the other is an HP, and the XEROX far exceeds the quality for B/W. C235 Printer tray does not hold 550 sheets, so there are always some extra sheets laying around until the extra sheets can get loaded into the tray. Option to scan and fax and send an email directly from the C235 printer is a big plus. My biggest plus is the quietness of operation.

Terrible Printer
This printer is terrible. Its slow, color quality is poor, toner does not last long and is expensive. The printer also goes rogue and will print 50+ pages of symbols if I don't catch it quickly and there will be several "jobs" in the queue that will need to be canceled. With each job I cancel, 2 or 3 more get created. I do not have anything nice to say.

Negative to Scanning & Printing
My first C235 was replaced because it was very loud when I printed. The issues I have now CANNOT be fixed. When I scan (let's say) 10 pages at one time, this printer makes 10 different files. I contacted Customer Support and that's the way it is. I am use to getting one file when I scan 10 pages simultaneously. The other issue is printing a small page onto 8.5x11 letter paper. I want to print a Bingo-type game card. Even tho' the layout size is 8.5x5.5, the printer enlarges it to 8.5x11 when it is printed. This is after I change the page settings on the printer. Additionally, it does not automatically revert back to letter size printing. I have to enter the size on the printer through the settings menu again.

I bought this printer because it was a laser and it had color. I have had more problems with this printer than any other I have EVER used. I have to reinstall drivers, It won't work with my postal software, The ink is expensive. Sometimes it prints blank pages or pages with error message at the top. I have to unplug and plug back in to get it to work. I spent $400 on this printer and I could have had an HP for that price.

This laser printer is a huge disappointment. It has a limited memory so I often get only part of a document printed. It can be excessively slow to get going once you send a document to it, you can't put double sided documents through the feeder and the cost of replacement cartridges is prohibitive.

Farewell to ink drama
I always had a cheap printer with ink cartridges and never used it frequently but it seemed like every time I did need to print the ink would be dried up or something was clogged and it was so frustrating because it seemed like it never worked when I needed it. The C235 and toner isn't cheap but I love it as it just works consistently and I never have to worry about dried up ink when I finally do get to a point when I need to print.

To configure the wireless printer, you must be connected by a wire
I designed printers at Xerox for 20 years and print drivers were the bane of my existence. Why are they always so difficult to use? I went to setup this 'wireless' printer on my home network. It recognizes my wi-fi router and lets me enter a password but won't connect. Information online says that the printer must be connected by ethernet cable to the network to setup the wireless capabilities of the printer. Frick me! This is why I left the company and why it is a shell of its former self. Nothing but stupids left who don't challenge the status quo.

Terrible
The C235 is one of the worst small business printers I've used. I purchased six units to deploy to medium demand home offices. The manual feed tray jams nearly 100% of the time. If you have documents that require critical alignment this machine is absolutely a no-go. This printer will not print on consistent margins and shifts vertically by as much as 4mm. The main tray is hard to load as the paper guides are at a negative angle from the top. You have to completely remove the tray to load which is inconvenient. The ADF scanner is definitely only intended for full 8.5x11 so if you plan to scan anything smaller than that you are out of luck. This printer functions well if you only require 8.5x11 color or B&W printing on a single type of paper and flat bed scanning. For all Xerox expects this printer to be it should have expansion trays at least.

Such a waste of money.
The only reason I gave it two stars is because the scan function seems decent. Otherwise it's been a nightmare to deal with. I had a Xerox phaser 6180 before this for over a decade and it worked great. However, since it is no longer compatible with the new Macs I picked this one without doing my homework and boy do I regret it. For starters it just would not connect to my institution's wifi for some reason that I don't quite understand. So I had to physically connect it to my Mac using a cable. Initially an ethernet cable did the job but after a few gap days when the printer wasn't used it stopped working. So I had to switch to a USB-to-something-else cable. On top of that the print quality was quite bad even though the printer had barely been used since its purchase. So I had to open it up and shake up the cartridge which helped a bit but was nowhere near the quality of the phaser. Of course since it won't connect to wifi I cannot AirPrint and can only print from one USB enabled device at a time - what a bummer!

I have used the Xerox C235 for 1.5 years. This printer has been very reliable. It was very easy to set up, prints quickly and very good quality. The toner cartridges are very easy to install. The display does have a tiny keyboard to enter network information but the unit keeps the network connections very well and reconnects easily when the network has issues.

Does not do automatic 2-side scanning.
I was disappointed with this product. Setup and printing is really easy but the scanning is not. The scan option is, by default, not shown on the printer's home screen. (Why?) Scanning to a pc is not straight-forward or easy. Last as mentioned in the title, this will not do automatic 2-side scanning. Meaning you can't put a 2-sided doc in the feeder tray. It also will not save the scan as a PDF. I think I would have been better off getting a separate document scanner and printer then this all-in-one.

Bien cordialement !

Not a bad printer, but toner is very overpriced.
I've been very loyal to Xerox for almost 10 years, but once they removed eConcierge, that was a red flag. Now they sell every printer with a "starter" toner which I think is a scam. Spend $400 on a printer. Then immediately spend another $400-$500 on toner. It's ridiculous for any small business. This alone is making me want to look else where. Xerox needs to change their ways or they'll lose more customers FAST as time progresses. We will be one of them.
