Absolutely terrible printer
Purchased this printer but did not like it at all.
This is well overpriced for its quality and it has a series of design issues (for example the paper output pushes the sheets towards the back of the printer and not to the user side so to get your print outs you need to stick your hand in the printer and try to get them out without breaking the paper!). The software is also very counter intuitive, the configuration interface is faulty and full of glitches. Unfortunately I could not return it because of the manufacturer very strict terms and conditions

I have a C405 but it wasn't on the list
Bought in Nov 2019, it does it's job for a 2 man office. Have problems getting it to scan to both computers. Have problems getting a service person to come look at it, they want to do it over the phone.

Delivers on every promose
I have had the Versalink for about 2 months and am blown away at its reliability, ease of use and functionality. I have a small office of 5 people and it gets plenty of use on a daily basis.
Scan to email function is easy to set up , fast printing/ scan ppm and quick startup every time

Could be so much better!!!!
We bought this for our Masonic Lodge. We want the best printer we could afford and that is why we chose Xerox. Well that was a flawed decision. Out of the box the top document feeder did not work and still does not. It takes what seems like forever to warm up. Support was very hard to deal with and due to it being from our lodge we are not there Mon-Fri so getting someone to help when we are there is almost impossible. Toner that came with it only lasted 1 month and the cost of 4 new toner cartridge's was over $1000. Dell is the company we bought it through and they are just as hard to work with as Xerox.

Junk
bought Jan 31st 2024, 7 service tickets, 5 techs to the office, a new printer because the issues. As of July 24th still cant use a 2559.00 printer (including toner and wireless adapter). Customer service is an absolute joke, mysterious disconnects, hours wasted on the phone, countless times transferred. Our last printer was a xerox 6 years no issues which is why we ordered a new xerox. NEVER AGAIN.

The way printed paper can be taken out of the unit is very difficult. If I knew the design of the printer is not a good one, I would not have bought it

Mostly Good
The color seems a little off, and where the paper feeds to is a little difficult to access without wrinkling the paper, but overall, this machine is less temperamental than the VersaLink C405. It seems to handle different types of paper (bond, letterhead, regular), cardstock, and sheets of labels without having to readjust the paper type manually.

Do not buy this printer
We've had Xerox MFC's for over a decade & this one is the worst. We use it for OCR Scan to searchable PDF;
-Scan speed misleading. Sure it moves through the ADF fast but the printer sits processing the job for sometimes up to 10 minutes. The dinosaur 6515DN, C405 does the same thing within a minute. A $499 Brother MFC-L3780 absolutely destroys the C415 in OCR quality and speed. The OCR feature is pretty much useless.
- No processing power at all. Whatever the CPU unit they are using for the C415 is grossly underpowered
- Paper tray doesn't hold much paper.
- Print quality and speed are average
For the money it's below average and we had to move a Brother laser printer from a home office to do the job the C415 cant do. Now we have a C405, Brother MFC-L3780, and the C415 is what the staff uses the least. Xerox should be embarrassed.

Great Printer
We love this printer. Easy to install and much quitter than the old Xerox network printer that it replaced. Make sure to order the WIFI adapter when you purchase the machine. Xerox does not include the WIFI adapter with the printer, this is not new for Xerox and the adapter from the old Xerox printer does not work with the new printers.
