Just plug in the power, connect the RJ-45 Ethernet cable and turn on the Snap Server. Right out of the box the Snap Server 1100 delivers full multiplatform file sharing in mixed Windows, NetWare, UNIX, Linux, and/or Macintosh environments. Added benefits include configurable file security and integration into existing simple network security structures, all with no network downtime. Notebook and/or Desktop Client Backup
The Snap Server 1100 relieves your laptop and desktop backup headaches. Laptop files are backed up to local drives while disconnected from the network, then are automatically saved to the Snap Server 1100 when the laptop is reconnected to the network.
Corporate Server Backup and Imaging
Are you sure your tape backup job completed? What about a bare metal restore? Use a Snap Server as a backup location and access the Snap Server through your network to confirm job status or access images.
