Rated 5 out of 5 by from Adding new SSD drives to new PC's. The PCIe SSD drives came packaged securely in a box and sealed in an anti-static bag. The instructions included did not provide instructions on my PC but on how to install on motherboard. The mounting screws were missing from the drive packaging. Therefore, there wasn't any device to secure the drive to the motherboard. A call to tech support was required to ship the mounting screws to me. This delayed installation until the next week but Dell provided the screws to me next day. I had two drives to install. The drive has to be initialized and formatted after installation. Nothing remarkable to note other than the drive will not be visible until you follow this procedure. The drives are preforming as expected.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Upgrade to Inspiron NVMe HDD I purchased an Inspiron 5577 with a tiny 128BGB PCIe NVMe Hard Drive. It would not recognize other, larger NVMe's but it did recognize the one purchased from Dell. This upgrade to the HDD on my notebook to where it was useable again

I was able to purchase a Samsung SSD that had twice the storage (512 vs 256) and higher read/write speed (3500 vs 2400) then the Dell at $10 less cost.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from If you replace the SSD with a higher storage, make sure the bios isn't on the old ssd. The solid state drive is now working well. However, when I bought it it didn't. Because the original solid state drive had the bios attached. A Dell technician helped me re-install the bios and now everything works fine.

Cautions: I had to order a cover and 2 screws from Dell, which laptop didn't come with (only because I initially purchased without SSD. Also, I had to completely wipe my HDD, removing all partitions, to get Windows 10 to correctly install on the SSD.

I was surprised at how small and easy it was to install into my Dell Inspiron mini-tower. However I was disappointed at the lack of guidance and support provided (without extra charge) by Dell for making it the OS drive.

I'm angry that my new computer doesn't have enough memory to use it. I thought I ordered 1TB of space, but evidently it only has 256G and I cannot use it for my business as intended. I'm upset because it shouldn't be possible to buy a $2500+ computer that only has 256G on it. Why would anyone want that? You can't do anything with 256G, it simply isn't enough space and once there are updates installed it uses up all the space. I also have paid for the Pro Plan, but I'm told I have to pay $149 to have a tech install the SSD I just purchased because it's not covered. This entire experience has been a huge disappointment and this has been a very expensive mistake. I can't use the computer for my business, which is why I bought it. Very very disappointed and regret ever buying this computer. It's useless.
